Our first real estate focused business was conceived in 2019 with a simple but ambitious goal: to allow home owners and agents to unlock trapped value through funding pre sale renovation costs.
Founded by Sarina Jackson, Peter Douros, Portia Miller and myself to solve a specific problem, helping agencies manage marketing costs without cash-flow strain. What began as a single solution quickly revealed a much bigger opportunity.
By 2025, Riverstone expanded its service offerings to address the growing regulatory, trust accounting, payments and compliance challenges facing agencies nationwide. Today, our group supports more than 6,000 real estate agents across Australia, delivering technology-driven platforms that remove friction, increase transparency and build trust between agents, vendors, buyers and regulators.
Riverstone now operates a portfolio of specialist businesses designed to work seamlessly together, helping agencies operate smarter, scale faster and stay compliant in a rapidly changing environment.
When I set out to build Riverstone Partners, I was driven by one belief: that real estate agencies deserve an independent infrastructure provider that works for them, not against them.
The industry is undergoing once-in-a-generation change. Trust accounting reforms, new AML obligations, and rising administrative burdens are reshaping how agencies operate. Rather than focus solely on SaleFunder, we chose the harder path, building platforms that simplify complexity, protect vendor and buyers funds, and allow agents to focus on what they do best: serving their clients and growing their businesses.
Riverstone is not about creating one-off products. It’s about building a connected ecosystem that future-proofs agencies for the decade ahead. With the agents process and workflow considered in every step.
